How to make your secondary character fun to level up?
I've recently started my second PVE character, because having 1 character just won't unlock skills fast enough.
However, by doing all the same missions over and over, and sometimes dying because someone aggroed a mob or disconnected from party, i' m bored sick.
Please as much tips for making doing all this repetitive sutff again more enjoyable.
How do you take joy of guiding your second, third or fourth character?

During the betas, I chose a new profession and a new playing style for each event. It felt fresh to me. The monthly forced pause probably helped as well, so I plan to do that again as well.

Try finishing quests and missions with minimal deployment, i.e. solo or with one other player along. Challenge can be created, and limiting the number of professions you take along will force you to think up clever solutions for otherwise simple situations.

My first character was an E/Me. Hang back, follow the group ect. I loved playing him but for my second character I wanted something different so I rolled a warrior. The game was still immensely fun because of the giganticly different playstyles.
Of course, I also rushed and ascended at 16.

If you have one char that finished the storyline, all other rp chars you make should have and open-map feature where you can travel where you want.

I think that would be a good idea. After you finish PVE with one character then they give you an option to enable to full map or not when you create a new character. what does everyone else think?

I disagree
the PvE game is already short enough as it is

If you play 16 hours a day, yes... it's short.

most people are *finished* with the PvE after 50 - 100hrs
and you want to shorten this for secondaries?

clarification:
the pve provides plenty of fun for me and I dont personally consider the game short
Ive seen many others here start threads like "Finshed the game - whats next?"
examples
the request that maps should be open to all future characters
to me,
is like asking for, in Diablo, for all Waypoints for Future characters
whats the point of it?
Skipping content (that you already have done with your 1st character)

coming from the age of gaming consoles...50-100 hours isn't short by any stretch of the word.. I remember the agonizingly long 80 hours it took to beat Final Fantasy 7.

Yes, excellent idea, giving an "open-map" feature.....Never mind that enormous masses of disgruntled new players that have a zero percent chance of competing when those who have beaten the game have access to almost every skill.......Forget the fact that a newbie would have no chance of beating a warrior in full Droknar armor.... Yes, I know people are already doing it, but by giving so many alts free access to most skills and high level armor, you're ruining the game a lot for the new players in the arenas.
No, absolutely not.

people are already complaining that they have "finished" the game
I dont see how Opening the map to all new characters helps

Well, they could do something to make it more interesting..like saying that you can either have a closed map and no level limitations, allowing people to rush ascension..or open it up and say you have to be level 13 to warp into LA.

I think I could use some tips in this department as well, I'm trying to lvl up my W/R and I'm bored out of my mind. That complete feeling of deja vu is sinking in.

I wouldn't mind if they added some form of hard mode you could use on a second character only after you beat the game.
